Quiotous

Yeah. Quiotous.

(Shut UP, stoopit spell-check, it IS SO a word! I know because I just made it up)

Quiotous is how it’s going to be around here for a little while.

And no, I don’t mean “quietus,” as in the bare bodkin kind. I mean an unpredictable cross between quiet and riotous.

Quiet because I’m going to be “away from my desk” and may not have much opportunity to blog. Riotous because the reason for it is that I’m headed up to Jennifer’s for a few days, there to meet and work with her and TheTserf and TheBoyTM and another player to be named later ptui ptui ptui I spit through my fingers I shouldn’t jinx anything, and I know that no matter how hard and how seriously we work we are also going to have a high old time.

Certain People (you know who you are) have promised to pester us up to the mark so we don’t fall into camnesia in the process. So if there isn’t time for any detailed live on-site reportage to speak of, there will at least be the next best thing - a series of evocative retrospective posts after the ball is over, after the break of morn, after the… no, damme, I will NOT burst into song.

In the course of the past couple of days, yarns have arrived; fibers and tools have arrived; yarns have been spun; yarns have been skeined; yarns have been dyed; yarns have been knitted; all kinds of cool stuff has been set afoot, the details of which may or may not have to wait until I get back (Friday - at least that’s the plan) and let the avalanche of accumulated blog fodder wash over us all.

Until then… so long - or not. I’ll miss you - or not. I totally won’t forget to write, but I trust you’ll understand if I’m a little dilatory about it - or not.

A work week on the non-farm with all the cool kids — how fun! Do take pictures, and Tell All on your return.

    Wow! I’m sixth!

More seriously, if this is a vacate-ion from blogging, knitting, and spinning, how come knitting and spinning get to go along? Won’t blogging be all jealous and nose-out-of-joint when you return all tanned and spinny?

Have as good a time as possible without being arrested, and we will wait impatiently to hear all and see some when you get back. Our best to the Yarn Maven and The Tserf!
